A Certain Someone's Chosen Boy

"A bee I am not. I am from twenty five years in the future. And, in the future, all is confusion...Giygas and other despicable monsters are conspiring to destroy not just the world, but the universe we all inhabit. Oh yes, there are other worlds besides our own, and your destiny within it has changed. I will transport you to the year 199X, where you will join forces with four other brave heroes ...including your son, Ness. I know it is strange, but three things are of the utmost importance: wisdom, courage, and friendship. I will tell you more later, we must go now! Do not be anxious about the future. You have much work to do, Ninten."

I started drawing Ninten- whom I've developed an interest now that I've gotten around to playing Mother/EarthboundZero. Like a lot of my other work, this started as a sketch to practice shading and colors, and then it turned into Ninten's whole body, and then, remembering how I am obsessed with crossovers, the idea of Buzz Buzz popping in to warp Ninten from Podunk to Eagleland to join Ness and co. was just too cool. This is all a reference to the story behind my piece "Super Nintendo RPG" wherein Mario, Link, Ness, Samus, and many other assorted Nintendo characters join forces on a journey across the video game universe to defeat the evil alliance of Porky, Bowser, and Ganondorf. 

Finally, I really am into the idea that Ninten could be Ness' dad- despite the pesky issue of the timeline between Mother and Earthbound, it just makes too much sense too me.
